Roche commenced broadcasting on Tuesday 2nd November and will

In programme 1 we meet Chris McCarthy who speaks about the Mercy sisters establishment of the "heart of the community" Mercy Family Centre in South Brown Street, Sr. Teresa Brogan (Marie Auxiliatrice) who teaches in JUST programme in Ballymun, and finally, Sr. Mairead Hughes (SSL) in her foundation "Youth Horizons" in Tallaght and some of her enthusiastic students and helpers.
In programme 2 we visit Sofia Housing in Cork Street, meet Sr. Grainne Hilton
and two tenants, meet Sr. Michelle
Kelly who runs the Mercy Law Centre. We then cross the Liffey to Phibsboro to
the busy Refugee Centre where we meet Manager Sr. Breege Keenan and finally
visit Sr. Cora Richardson, Director of an organisation involved in the fight
against human trafficking.
Programme 3 takes us to Open Heart House - a centre for those suffering from
aids, where we meet Sr. Claire Walsh (RSM), Sr. Loretta, Paula Gilroy and James
an Aids survivor. We go
Northside to Ballymun to visit the Star Project founded by Sr. Ann Hartnett and
speak to Manager Katy McAndrew and finally to the Matt Talbot Trust where we
speak to founder Sr. Caoimhin, Grainne Jennings Manager and participants.
In Programme 4 Sr. Ann Hartnett talks to us about ecology/cosmology her new
mission. "Be the Change" is a programme conducted by Srs.
Laurena and Agnes (RSM). We visit St. Michael's Estate Family Resource
Centre and meet Sr. Jo Kennedy (founder and longtime social activist).
Chaplaincy is our final theme with Sr. Esther Murphy talking about her life as
a chaplain in Wheatfield prison and Aine Moran and Leaving Certificate students
in St. Aidan's Community School, Brookfield in Tallaght talk about the
importance of the chaplain in their lives.
