"Vocation - Mystery Wrapped Up in Love"
Brother Donatus who is Superior General of the Order, said that the vocation, not just of those called to religious life, but of everyone, is a mystery wrapped up in love. Brother Stanislaus Neild, a priest of the Order, said in his homily at the Jubilee Mass, that John Henry Newman, about to be beatified, had a great sense of vocation in which searching for the truth was paramount. He went on to say that it is important for each one of us to recognise and acknowledge that we have a particular vocation in life. Newman speaking about vocation wrote that "everyone has something that only they are called by God to do, it may be vry little or it may be somehting great but it is only they who can do it." Mass for the Golden Jubilarians was celebrated in the St. John of God Chapel and attended by family, friends and work colleagues of the Brothers.
